I’ve been on a diet for the last couple of months called #theNext56Days. If you’ve never heard of it, you can check it out here. It’s very similar to the popular Paleo diet and focuses on balancing blood sugar, detoxing, lessening inflammation, and clean eating in general.
Throughout the process, I’ve been determined to come up with replacements that are as close as possible to the original foods that I have been giving up. I’m still on a mission to find replacements for some things, but I have found very good replacements for some things and plan to document them here. I’m by no means an expert chef… I barely know how to cook. Some of my recipes have turned out really bland or just downright nasty (ask my family about my chicken pie I made recently… yuck!), but the recipes I’m sharing here are some of my favorites and have gotten the thumbs up from others that I’ve shared them with. All of the recipes here are ones that I’ve come up with myself unless otherwise noted. Feel free to share the recipes, but please provide a direct link back to this site when doing so.
